BIOGRAPHY

Rachel Boggia

Rachel Boggia makes, performs, and documents dance works, often in collaboration with other artists, scientists, and thinkers. She also frequently makes documentaries on other dance artists, creates video installations, designs video projections for performance, and experiments with online embodied education through a project called Meta-Academy. It is her pleasure to serve as Associate Professor of Dance at Connecticut College Dept. of Dance. Before moving to Conn, she served as Associate Professor of Dance and Acting Director of Dance in the Bates College Dept. of Theater and Dance. She has also served on the faculty of Wesleyan Univ., Dickinson College, The Bates Dance Festival and The Ohio State Univ. (teaching staff); and has taught as a guest and adjunct at several other colleges. She earned her MFA in dance from OSU and a BA in Biology from Cornell.
